The technology behind Mytocel MSK has been used for years in other fields of medicine, where taking a small sample of a person’s own tissue and preparing it into micrografts is a well-established way to support natural repair. Mytocel MSK is that same approach, applied to joints and soft tissue.
It is made by Remedi and built on their Regenera Activa micrografting system. Professor Lee uses the Mytocel MSK version at London Cartilage Clinic in the same way the clinic uses ChondroFiller and other regenerative tools, choosing the right one for each joint.

The micrografting method behind Mytocel MSK is well established and has been used for years across several fields of medicine. What Professor Lee adds is its use in musculoskeletal care: judging which joints and which patients it suits, and deciding when to combine it with the clinic’s other regenerative options.
That is why Mytocel MSK is offered both on its own, for earlier wear, and as the cell component of NanoACi, where it is delivered alongside a scaffold and PRF in a single protocol.

It is prepared in one session from your own tissue, without laboratory culture. Which injection suits you depends on your joint and your imaging.
No, though they are related. Mytocel MSK is a standalone treatment. In NanoACi, Professor Lee’s injection protocol, the Mytocel MSK micrografts are the cell component, delivered together with a ChondroFiller scaffold and PRF in one session. Mytocel MSK on its own suits earlier wear; NanoACi is the fuller protocol.
Professor Paul Lee at London Cartilage Clinic is among the first in the UK to offer the Mytocel MSK version of this technology. He is not the only clinician using autologous micrografting, but he was early to bring the Mytocel MSK application to musculoskeletal care here.
Mytocel MSK is at its strongest for earlier cartilage wear. For more advanced wear, Professor Lee usually recommends a fuller approach such as ChondroFiller or NanoACi, and for advanced knee osteoarthritis he may separately discuss Arthrosamid or a joint replacement. Arthrosamid is not a routine add-on and has not been proved to delay surgery.
